DRY KALA CHANA(ASHTAMI PRASAD)

INGREDIENTS- Black chana-1.5 cups Tomato-1 large Chopped Ginger-1 tsp Curry leaves-handful Green chili-2-3 Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp+1/2 tsp Chili powder-1/2 tsp Coriander powder-1/2 tsp Roasted jeera(cumin) powder-1/2 tsp Dry red chili-2 Asafetida-a pinch Salt to taste Oil-1 tsp Chopped Coriander-handful for garnish METHOD- 1-Clean, wash and soak kala chana overnight or at least 5-6 hours. 2-Pressure cook chana with water, turmeric powder and salt for 5-6 whistles.After cooked the chana drain them through strainer. 3-Grind green chili, ginger, curry leaves and two spoon water coarsely and keep aside. 4-Grind tomato to make tomato puree and keep aside. 5-In a pan heat oil, add asafetida, cumin, dry red chili.When they start to sputter add curry leaves paste. 6-Cook for 1-2 minutes, then add all the spices one by one.Mix well for 30 sec. 7-Then add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates. 8-Then add ch

BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP BREAD

Banana chocolate chip bread is an easy,moist and delicious recipe that you can enjoy for dessert,breakfast or snack.This recipe is one of my husband's favorite. INGREDIENTS- Ripe Banana-2-3 Sugar-1/2-3/4 cup Unsalted Butter-1/2 cup Chocolate chips-3/4 cup All purpose flour-2 cups Vanila Essence-1tsp Baking powder-1tsp Baking soda-1tsp Oatmeal-1/2 cup Salt-1/4 tsp Egg-2 Milk-1/2 cup METHOD- 1-Preheated oven to 350 degrees F. 2-Spray a standard size loaf pan with non-stick cooing oil spray and set aside. 3-In an electric-mixture on medium speed whisk butter,sugar and egg until well combined. 4-Then add milk and vanilla essence and mix until blended.mix mashed bananas and beat for 2 minute on low-medium speed. 5- Mix flour,baking soda,baking powder,oatmeal and salt to the batter and mix for a few seconds until the flour is well combined.Add the chocolate chip and fold gently. 6-Then spread batter in prep

BANANA BLUEBERRY MUFFIN

INGREDIENTS- Banana-2(ripe) Blueberry-1 cup All-purpose flour-1/4 cup (optional) Wheat flour-1 cup(If you don't want to add all purpose flour then use 1 & 1/4 cups of wheat flour) Oats-1/2 cup Egg-1 Milk-1/4 cup Sugar-1/2 cup(I used 2 tbsp regular sugar and 1/2 cup coconut palm sugar) Unsalted Butter-1/2 cup(softened or room temperature) Baking soda-1 tsp Baking powder-1 tsp Vanilla Essence-1 tsp Salt-1/4 tsp METHOD- 1-Preheat oven to 400 degree F.Coat 12 muffin cups or muffin tray with cooking spray or line with paper lines. 2-In a large bowl combine flours with baking powder,baking soda and salt.Keep aside. 3-In another bowl mash bananas,add sugar and mix well. 4-Then add butter,egg,vanilla essence,milk and whisk well. 5-Then add dry mixture and oat to the wet mixture and stirring just until moistened. 6-Then add blueberries and fold with a spatula gently. 7-Divide batter evenly among muffin cups (cups will be almost full).
