BLACK FOREST CAKE


INGREDIENTS:

FOR CAKE:

All purpose flour(maida)-1 1/2 cup
Milk(should be in a room temp)-1 cup
Cocoa powder-3 tbsp
Baking soda-1 tsp
Baking powder-1 tsp
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Butter/veg oil-1/2 cup
Sugar-1 cup
Salt-1/2 tsp
Eggs-3
For grease-butter or cooking spray

FOR FROSTING:

Heavy whipping cream-1 pint
Sugar-1/2 cup
Vanilla essence-1 tsp

FOR TOPPING:

Grated Chocolate-1 cup
Cherries-1 can(I didn't found cherry,that's why I used rasberry)

FOR SYRUP:

Water-1 cup((you can use water from cherry can also)
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Sugar-1/2 cup
Rum-1 tbsp(optional)

METHOD:

FOR CAKE:

1-Take a bowl,place eggs,sugar,butter/oil in it and mix well,until sugar dissolves.
2-Then add all dry ingredients(flour,cocoa powder,baking soda,baking powder and salt) in a separate bowl and mix together
3-Then add milk and vanilla essence,again mix the batter well.
4-Add dry ingredients little by little with wet ingredients and mixing it all the time.
5-Pour the batter into a cake pan by grease it with butter/cooking spray
6-Bake this cake in a oven preheated to 375 degree F for 35-40 mins.
7-Check if the cake is done by inserting a toothpick in the middle of the cake.It should come out clean.
8-Switch off the oven and cool the cake before applying the syrup and frosting.

FOR FROSTING:

Mix all together and beat with a hand mixer till a nice fluffy frosting is ready.

FOR SYRUP:

Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and cook till all sugar dissolves and form a syrup.

CAKE ASSEMBLING:

1-Cut the top crust and divide into 3 equal pieces.
2-Apply syrup on all the 3 layers and let the cake absorb it.
3-Then take one cake layer and spread frosting cream.
4-And sprinkle some chopped cherries on it.
5-Place the 2nd layer of cake on top and apply frosting cream and chopped cherries.
6-Now place the final layer of cake on top and apply frosting cream on top of the cake and on all the sides.
7-Sprinkle grated chocolates on top and all around the cake.
8-Top the cake with cherries and serve chilled...
